More photos from the commercial fire that broke out in Chicago on March 3, 2021.
From Chi-Town Fire Photos:
On Wednesday, we were on the south side of Chicago when Battalion 19 reported a fire at 61st and Halsted. The first-arriving units saw smoke coming from the roof of a one-story strip mall measuring 50 by 150 feet. Engine 116 deployed two lines, while Truck 51 was already cutting holes in the roof. However, the fire spread quickly, forcing Battalion 19 to pull everyone back and switch to a defensive strategy. This led to the activation of Still & Box resources. In total, four engine lines were stretched by Engines 116 and 84. Squad 5's Snorkel and Tower Ladder 39 used their master streams to bring the fire under control.
