Through collaboration with universities and spinning enterprises, the team has embraced cutting-edge technologies such as computer systems, digitization, and networking. Their efforts have resulted in the development of a new generation of high-automation, intelligent, and digitally-driven cotton comber. This innovative model replaces traditional mechanical cam and planetary wheel systems with electronic cam functions using servo controllers and motors. The servo motor directly drives the high-speed operation of the separation roller, offering high precision, no wear, and the ability to store thousands of points and multiple curves in the controller for easy switching. The system includes a PCC controller, man-machine interface, mainframe frequency converter, one servo controller, two closed-loop inverters, and encoders, enabling four-axis synchronous operation with accurate tracking and stable start/stop performance. The new model also integrates industrial bus control technology, allowing fast data exchange between control and drive devices. This makes it possible for operators to quickly adjust the separation curve and speed ratio between master and slave axes through the user interface—often within just a few seconds. Additionally, an Ethernet interface supports centralized control and management of the entire production line. The servo multi-axis drive cotton comber represents the culmination of the latest design concepts from the Shanghai Textile Machinery General Factory. It features a simplified structure, low energy consumption, and produces even cotton web without broken edges or netting. This not only reduces raw material waste but also improves product quality, increasing CV% by approximately 20%.
