**Standard Design**
The machine consists of a frame with a horizontal drive shaft, clutch, brake, worm gear, lubricating oil bath, and vertical bowl spindle. The bowl is mounted on top of the spindle inside the frame structure. All components in contact with the process liquid are made of stainless steel. The bowl is of the solid-ejecting disc type with a hydraulic operating system. The electric motor is of variable frequency drive or controlled-torque type.

**Operating Principles**
Separation occurs inside a rotating bowl. The feed enters through a stationary inlet pipe and is accelerated by a distributor. The feed then passes through a disc stack, where the separation of liquid-liquid-solid takes place. The lighter phase moves toward the center and is discharged, while the heavier phase and solids move to the periphery and are removed intermittently via a hydraulic system.
