Glaze flow pump model successfully used in South-North Water Diversion Project

Jiangsu University, in collaboration with the Jiangsu Provincial Water Conservancy Science and Technology Consulting Center, has successfully developed 12 new glaze flow pump models after more than a year of dedicated research. These models have undergone rigorous testing organized by the Ministry of Water Resources and other relevant departments as part of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project. The glaze flow pump, known for its low material consumption and high efficiency, is widely used in water conservancy, municipal infrastructure, power plants, and port systems. The hydraulic model plays a crucial role in determining the performance of the pump. According to recent reports, the university has developed a total of 12 different glaze flow pump models, with three of them already being applied in key locations of the first phase of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project, including the Wannian Zha Pumping Station, Liu Shan Pumping Station, and Taierzhuang Pumping Station. Recently, an appraisal committee led by Academician Zhou Qilian from the Chinese Academy of Engineering evaluated the series of glaze flow pump models and confirmed that they have reached an internationally advanced level. This achievement marks a significant milestone in China's efforts to improve water management and pumping technology, offering more efficient and sustainable solutions for large-scale water transfer projects.
