Our hard chrome piston rods are manufactured using high-quality materials such as JIS S45C, ensuring durability and performance. The process involves precision machining followed by surface chromium treatment, resulting in a surface finish of f7 and a hardness of at least HV800. This not only improves wear resistance but also significantly extends the lifespan of the rod, helping customers reduce long-term costs.
The corrosion resistance is tested in our internal salt spray laboratory, and the surface heat treatment achieves a hardness of HRC55°±2°, with a hardened depth ranging between 0.5mm and 3mm. After this, the rods undergo precision machining and hard chrome plating, with a coating thickness of 20 microns ±10%, which greatly enhances wear resistance and prolongs the service life of the product.
1. Chrome Plated Steel Bars:
Our chrome-plated bars are made from medium carbon cold-finished or hot-rolled steel, typically in grades like 1045. They are centerless ground, polished, and chrome-plated to a minimum thickness of 0.0005" per side. These bars are ideal for use in hydraulic and pneumatic cylinder piston applications.
2. Induction Hardened Chrome Plated Bars:
These bars are produced using advanced techniques on materials such as JIS S45C, SAE1045, or DIN CK45. The process includes surface preparation, polishing, induction hardening, and finally hard chrome plating to a minimum of 0.0005" or 0.001" per side. The result is a highly impact-resistant bar suitable for demanding environments and high-quality piston rod applications.
3. Cold Drawn Seamless Mechanical Tubing (CDS):
This is a cold-drawn 1020 steel tube produced from pierced hot-rolled bar stock. The cold drawing process improves the mechanical properties, reduces machining time, and provides better dimensional accuracy, uniformity, and strength compared to hot-finished seamless tubing.
