CPSC claims that the recalled product was produced by LG Electronics (Tianjin) Electric Co., Ltd. Due to the short circuit of the power supply connected to the dryer compressor, causing fire and consumer burns, the CPSC required LG to initiate an active recall of the product.
CPSC pointed out that LG once again received four reports of accidents caused by recalled products. One of the incidents caused great damage. At present, there have been no reports of consumers being injured. However, the agency warns that consumers who are using recalled products should stop using it.
The recalled products were mainly portable 30-pin dryers sold under the Goldstar and Comfort-Aire brand names and printed on the front of the camera. The product is white and the switch button is red.
