Working fire in Chicago, 1-13-19

Here are some images from a fire that occurred at 6229 S Aberdeen on January 13, 2019. Upon arrival, Engine 116 deployed its deck gun, which quickly knocked down the majority of the flames. Two attack lines were then laid, and Truck 20 worked from the roof to ventilate the structure.

These photos give a powerful visual account of how firefighters responded under challenging conditions. The cold weather added an extra layer of difficulty, but the crew worked efficiently to bring the fire under control. It's always a reminder of the dedication and bravery shown by first responders every day.
