Recently, Shenyang Yuanda Science & Technology Industrial Co., Ltd. has successfully developed a highly efficient and energy-saving large-scale alcohol beverage drying system, which recently passed expert evaluation in the Shenyang Huishan Agricultural High-tech Zone. This advanced equipment is not only suitable for drying corn-based distiller’s grains but also applicable to a wide range of materials such as ginkgo leaves, barnyard grass, and traditional Chinese medicinal herbs. The entire drying system utilizes coal as its primary heat source and incorporates a three-ring drum drying technology combined with an innovative high-temperature rapid drying process. This enables up to 70% of the moisture from wet distiller’s grains to be removed within just 1 to 1.5 minutes, reducing the moisture content to below 12%. The system supports continuous production and full automation control, significantly improving efficiency and reducing labor costs. It is reported that two sets of drying systems—designed for both corn-based and cassava-based distiller’s grains—have already been implemented at Longkou Zhenlong Alcohol Co., Ltd. and Longkou Zhenlong Organic Fertilizer Plant in Shandong Province. These systems have demonstrated impressive performance, with daily drying capacities reaching 80 to 100 tons of distiller’s grains. Using approximately 250 kg of coal per ton of product, the drying cost ranges between 150 to 180 yuan per ton of dried material. The final products meet national quality standards, ensuring high value and market competitiveness. This technological breakthrough represents a major step forward in the alcohol industry, offering a sustainable and cost-effective solution for waste material processing. With its versatility and efficiency, the system is expected to gain wider adoption across various sectors, contributing to both economic and environmental benefits.
