Ambulance Crash in Arlington Heights 8/5/16

This is from Larry Shapiro:

On Friday night after 10 PM, the Arlington Heights and Buffalo Grove fire departments responded to a reported "pin-in" crash at the intersection of Arlington Heights Road and Dundee Road. The incident involved a private ambulance and a sedan. The ambulance was overturned during the collision. There were three crew members inside the ambulance at the time, but no patients were being transported. All three were able to get themselves out before firefighters arrived on the scene. The driver of the car was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

It’s always a relief when no one is seriously hurt in an accident, especially when emergency responders are involved. The fact that the ambulance crew managed to escape on their own shows how quick they were under pressure. Firefighters arrived shortly after and helped secure the scene. The driver of the car was taken to the hospital as a precaution, and the ambulance was towed away. It’s clear that this was a close call, but everyone seems to have come out okay. If you're near the area, it's a good idea to stay alert and drive carefully around the intersection.
