Still and Box Alarm fire in Chicago, 2-8-20

Here's a report from Eric Haak:

A still and box alarm was called in Chicago early Saturday morning at 5:45 AM. Fire companies were dispatched to 4208 South Wells Street. Engine Company 16 arrived first and reported a 1.5-story frame building measuring 20 by 50 feet with fire visible through the roof. Engine 16 and Engine 29 quickly deployed their deck guns, which helped bring down the bulk of the fire within minutes. A few hand lines were then used to finish the job and ensure the fire was fully under control.

There was some minor fire communication to the "B" side exposure, with visible flames along the eaves, but this was quickly extinguished. Firefighters managed to prevent any further spread, showing excellent coordination and response time. The scene was under control relatively fast, thanks to the quick action of the crews on the ground.
