In May this year, Shandong Hengtong Chemical Co., Ltd.'s Fertilizer Plant made a significant upgrade by investing over RMB 120,000 during a scheduled maintenance period. The company replaced its four HB80-type oil pumps with four new HB100-type models to address operational challenges and improve efficiency. Since the installation, the new oil pumps have been running smoothly and reliably.
The need for this upgrade arose due to the introduction of an automatic coke feeding machine, which caused fluctuations in the hydraulic system pressure and changes in the raw material flow path. These factors placed increased demands on the existing HB80 pumps, making them insufficient for current production requirements. After the replacement, the HB100 pumps demonstrated improved performance, with minimal oil pressure fluctuations and stable valve operations.
Additionally, the new pumps showed a notable reduction in energy consumption. Each pump saves approximately 12 kWh per hour, translating to a cost saving of around 0.35 yuan per hour. Based on annual usage, each HB100 pump can save about 36,000 yuan in electricity costs annually. This means the initial investment can be fully recovered within the same year, making the upgrade both economically and operationally beneficial.
This upgrade not only enhanced system stability but also contributed to long-term cost savings and improved overall plant efficiency. It reflects the company's commitment to modernizing its equipment and maintaining competitive production standards.
