This report comes from Steve Redick:
On Tuesday evening, thick smoke was seen rising from an empty warehouse in Niles, IL, as fire crews arrived on the scene. Due to the building's location within an industrial park at 7847 Caldwell Avenue, all firefighting operations were conducted from the outside. An in-line pumping system was set up to manage the fire, and an additional engine was dispatched to support the response. Thanks to quick action, the fire was brought under control within just 30 minutes.

It’s always impressive to see how quickly firefighters respond and contain these types of incidents, especially when they’re located in busy industrial areas. The coordination between units and the use of in-line pumping helped keep things under control. It’s a reminder of the importance of preparedness and teamwork in emergency situations.
