Working fire in Niles, 7-8-14

This report comes from Steve Redick:

On Tuesday evening, thick smoke was seen rising from an empty warehouse in Niles, IL, prompting fire crews to respond. Due to the building’s location in an industrial park on Caldwell Avenue, all firefighting efforts were conducted from the outside. An in-line pumping operation was set up to manage the fire effectively. A second engine was dispatched to support the response, and the fire was brought under control within just 30 minutes.

It's always fascinating to see how quickly crews respond and manage these types of incidents, especially in industrial areas where structures can be more challenging to access. The use of in-line pumping and additional engines shows the level of preparedness and coordination among the firefighters involved.
